Time Banking is a way of giving and receiving to build supportive networks and strong communities. One hour helping another earns one Time Bank Hour.
We are a group of volunteers who in the Summer of 2012 created the Northern California Counties Time Bank. Our vision is a community that values everyone's skills and talents equally and where assets are utilized to ensure everyone's needs are met. We envision an empowering and welcoming community, which is built through strong connections and relationships where all are respected.
What our members are doing with and for each other
Gardening, Cooking, Shopping, Yoga, Sewing, Giving and getting rides, Childcare, Hiking groups, Tutoring kids, Help writing grants, Rides to the airport, Singing lessons, Spanish lessons, Massage, Acupuncture, Party planning, Car repair, And so much more…
We hold New Member Orientations the first Sunday of every month at 4:00pm at the Chico Library on Sherman and First Avenue. There is no need to commit to just come and hear about how it works. Following Orientation is an All-member potluck at 5:30. These are both great opportunities to get involved.
We also welcome you to attend our special events.
